Welcome To My Website
I am a native Nebraska and Omahan. While I
spent most of my life in Omaha, I have lived and
worked in more than a dozen states.
I am an alum of Omaha Burke High School and
the University of Nebraska system.
I currently work in the hospitality management
sector, working in hotel operations. Before
returning to the hospitality sector, I worked in the
political sector for a Washington, DC based
political consulting firm. Having previously
worked in the political and non-profit sectors, I
continue to work in those sectors on a contract
basis.
I have a strong sense of community and served
as an AmeriCorp VISTA, working on
service-learning applications in higher education.
I served as the Midwest Region Director of the
Young Democrats of America (YDA) in 2004-05,
and in July of 2005 was elected at the YDA
National Convention in San Francisco to serve
as National Vice President for Students and
Youth and served as a member of the YDA
Board of Directors for 2005 through 2007.
I am an emerging photographer and am
currently working on starting a professional fine
art photography business. I am also an avid
storm chaser in the springtime, chasing severe
weather in the Great Plains, photographing
severe weather while also serving as a
experienced storm spotter.
I am very involved in my community in the area
of emergency management. I serve in a
leadership capacity with Eastern Nebraska
CERT, a community-based emergency response
team that responds to local and regional
community needs after severe weather and
man-made emergency incidents and I am a
current member of the United States Coast
Guard Auxiliary.
